The Bobalouie Show
(Mondays 9-11:30am)
Free form radio at its purest.
The Bottom Line Show
(9 PM - midnight Every other Saturday)
This show is always a feral, chaotic, obscure mix of rock & comedy. I like to compare my show to a Husky dog off its leash - it goes everywhere and gets into everything. Primarily a rock show, you will hear other things mixed in like pop, punk & hip hop. And then there's the comedy. If you like to laugh then tune into the Bottom Line. Be careful while drinking liquids during this show, as they may squirt out of your nose. You will hear standup comedy, hilarious movie quotes, song parodies, and rants & quotes from such favorites as Monty Python's Flying Circus, The Simpsons, Family Guy, American Dad, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Sealab & Aqua Teen Hunger Force, mixed in with the music. Warning: If you have a challenged sense of humor or are severely politically correct, this show may not be for you. And if you happen to be an internet listener, you are always welcome to ask questions or make requests to me with yahoo instant messenger, user name yer_house.

Disposable Radio
(Fill In DJ)
Disposable Radio is a show of new and roots indie rock. I love exploring cutting edge, innovative rock music you won't hear on any coroporate radio station. Newer favorites include Bloc Party, Pinback, Bright Eyes, Stars, The Postal Service, Broken Social Scene, You Will Know Us By The Trail Of The Dead, Animal Collective, Do Make Say Think, Arcade Fire and Clinic. Influential to these bands, and some of the greatest rock n' roll ever made: Yo La Tengo, Pavement, Love, Nirvana, Built To Spill, Pixies, and Sonic Youth.
The Jay Raible Experience
(1 - 3 PM Every other Friday)
A Friday afternoon institution since 1996. A deeply wide ranging show covering many musical genres - all sorts of rare live recordings, down & dirty funk, smokin' blues, acid jazz, and straight forward rock n' roll. Popular artists on this show recently have included, but not limited to : Jimi Hendrix, Maceo Parker, Led Zeppelin, Pink FLoyd, Paul Pena, JB Horns, Fred Wesley, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe, BB King, Albert King, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Wes Montgomery, Gov't Mule, Tower Of Power, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Dr. John, and the Beatles, just to name a few. As you can see, this radio program can and does go in many different directions each time, empowered by KOTO's commercial free platform. KOTO is the greatest station in the nation. Thanks for supporting what we do.
Electric Angel
(6-9pm Every other Saturday) I am passionate about rock and roll. This program offers listeners a variety of new bands I've discovered, what I've dusted off, what fascinates me, what makes my heart beat. Within the genre of rock I'll surprise you with soul, R&B, blues, and anything else that might fit the groove at any given time. The tapestry I weave is many-hued and textured. I like my rock muscular, my soul sweaty and my blues deep. I like artists who have something to say and a love song that can make a grown man cry. And a little unabashed hedonism goes a long way, too. Thank you for letting me play in your living room tonight.
Flying Fero At Your Service
(9-11am Every other Tuesday)
Greetings. My show is "The Flying Fero at your Service" and it exemplifies the freedom that the DJ's are allowed here at KOTO...my favorite music is bluegrass...but I play all kinds of new music and international tunes...hope to have you as a listener every other Wednesday from 3 to 5p.m. Rocky Mountain time! Peace
The G-Spot
(3-5pm Every other Wednesday)
Did you just get stoned and are heading to the garage to work on that sailboat that you're building from scratch? Just sit down with a glass of wine and 10 years of photos that you're finally going to organize so you can look at them more than once a decade? Maybe your gonna make a batch of homebrew, or take apart your mountain bike and put it together again so you know how everything works. Whatever your favortite activity is, this is the music you want in the background while you get lost in it. Everything from soup to nuts with a nod to new tunes. Some favorites--Stereolab, Eels, Nina Simone, Iron & Wine, Grassy Knoll, PJ Harvey and the Black Eyed Peas (who stopped by my show one night before you (or I) knew who they were.)
Bluegrass Gospel Hour
(11 AM until Noon Every Wednesday)
Primarily Bluegrass, both old timey & contemporary; instrumentals & vocals with a message that is Gospel, or at least positive & edifying. Occasionally a switch to Reggae or Blues with similar message.
High - n - Dry
(9pm - midnight every other Saturday)
"I've got a date on Saturday night!"
This show is all rock!
In the Red
(9:30 p.m.-midnight, alternate Wednesdays)
Name inspiration came from watching the needles go into the red during dynamic parts of songs.
RIP, analog board. I like it loud, always have. Lots of heavy rock and dark electronic sounds such as Boris, the Knife, Melvins, and Flying Lotus will populate our late-night world. The first portion of the program can be more user-friendly, easing listeners into the later evening with anything from the Gourds to Grizzly Bear, the Stooges to the Stranglers, or Neko and the New Pornographers, with some hip-hop, roots, world, country, and classic pop songs thrown in to keep it fair. Tune in to be turned on to something new.
Jerry Bonafiglio's Rockin' Remnants
(7 - 9 PM Every Other Friday)
Close your eyes, don your bobby socks, let your mind drift back to the days of greasers & 57 Chevys, and bebop to the sounds of Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly and those Moldy Oldies from the 50's & 60's.
Lef Deppard
(6 - 9 AM Every other Tuesday)
Sometimes brilliant, often stupifying, this show is a mix of rock, country, and pop usually from the 70's and 80's and with a topping of cheese.
Lounge 8800
(6 - 9 AM Every other Friday)
Lounge 8800 is a KOTO all-music radio show dedicated to airing novelty songs, champagne music, and ballads from the 40s, 50s, and 60s. It features all the music that was thriving with the older generations during the early stages of rock n' roll, and still remains the antithesis to rock n' roll. You'll hear Henry Mancini, Stan Kenton, Rosemary Clooney, Andy Williams, Jack Jones, Jo Stafford, Percy Faith & His Orcestra, and even some Liberace.
The Luci Show
(10 AM - Noon Every other Friday)
As a KOTO DJ for over twenty years my motto is "It's gotta have a beat and you gotta be able to dance to it." There is a lot of disco on my show because I learned to like dance music while roller skating in Central Park NY, and in the roller discos of the NY 80's scene. If you don't hear something from SOS Band, Madonna, Carl Carlton, Kim Carnes, Kylie Minogue, David Bowie, Steve Winwood, Commodores, Evelyn "Champagne" King, or Atlanta Rhythm Section, then you are not listening to "The Luci Show". As two time winner of KOTO's Lip Sync Contest, I am living proof that us volunteer DJs will do anything for the station up to and including taking it all off for a good cause.
Mr. Wobber's Neighborhood
(Fill In DJ)
If I start playing the same old stuff...... shoot me.
My Generation
(1 - 3 PM Every other Thursday)
"My Generation" is a show unlike what you hear on all those "Classic Rock" stations owned by Clear Channel. There is no playlist, and you'll hear songs you haven't heard in years from the 50's through the 80's. Rock, folk, and blues - if you like Country Joe & The Fish, you'll probably be glad you tuned in.
Obscene Steven Clean
(6 - 9 AM Every other Tuesday)
Plays bluegrass and acoustic music, mixed in with comedy, NPR news and the weather.
PB & J
(1 - 3 PM Every other Monday)
PB & J stands for Pete's Blues and Jazz with host Peter Lundeen. Latin, funk, soul, and groove are also favorites but blues and jazz, both new and old, are the standard fare. Artists you might hear include Johnny Lang, Galactic, Miles Davis, James Brown, or St. Germain. Each show depends on my mood and I usually let it flow. I do not have a prearranged playlist. The reason I started this show in the fall of 2001 was twofold: one to increase people's awareness of what Jazz is and the incredible range of music included under that label and two, to keep the Blues Alive since blues is rarely played on any radio station in any major city, and it should be !
Peaks and Waves
(8 - 10 PM Every other Sunday)
My freeform approach to radio touches on many musical styles and elements circling from Jazz to Jam Bands, from Reggae to Rock, Bluegrass to Worldbeat, and Dub to Acid Jazz. I like the segue part, do little talking, and take reasonable requests. You'll have a motherlode of fun tunin' into my alpinglow show - Peaks and Waves on K O T O.
Piccadilly Rock
(3 - 5 PM Every other Monday)
Plays different genres of music - mostly rock n' roll, hip hop, and dancehall. Also new and popular music from the charts, remixes and soundtracks. A very upbeat show with little talking. Fresh, lively and has a good groove.
Radio Addiction
(6 - 9 PM Every other Saturday) There’s nothing like three hours of music therapy with Radio Addiction. (Just about) anything goes… if you want, and if I can find it – you just have to call me at the station when I’m on the air (970.728.4333). Believing that music has the power to heal and consciously aware of what messages are put out to the universe, especially with so much wattage behind it (and now the infinite reach of the internet), when left to my own devices, I will spend a great deal of time playing reggae, rap, hip-hop, the latest chart toppers, soon-to-be hits, and more, with an emphasis on hip-swinging and love-making. Music designed to get you up and moving that body… so go ahead, feel free to dance and take the therapy to an even higher level (‘cause I am). Once in a while, I will go outside of my comfort zone and do crazy things like host a song writing challenge and dedicate an entire show to the results of said contest, amongst other things. For the very curious, visit my MySpace page, completely dedicated to my radio show.
SOLO
Don West (Fill-in DJ)
SOLO focuses on songs that have an extended section in which there is no singing and one instrument performs the dominant piece. Usually the instrument is an electric or acoustic guitar. For those who appreciate the special beauty, depth and vibrancy of guitar playing, the guitar solo is the best part of the song. It is the part that can make your heart race or it can put you into a hypnotic dream state. Artists like Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young, David Gilmour and many others come to mind. In the genre of Rock, the guitar dominates; but solos are not solely limited to guitars. The harmonica is a solo instrument in the hands of Bob Dylan. Jerry Lee Lewis used the piano as a solo instrument in "Great Balls of Fire". SOLO will delve into this sub-genre of Rock that focuses on the magnificence of a particular instrument and allows it to sing alone.
Sunday Evening Classical
(6 - 8 PM Every Sunday)
Hi ! My show is Sunday Evening Classical. My radio name is Klaus Klippenheimer. My real name is Rob Roth. I play classical music with an emphasis on ancient and sacred music which includes vocal and choral.
The Telluride Jazz Beat

The Telluride Jazz Beat offers the very best in contemporary jazz from around the world with your host Jimmy Jazz.
This show mixes the latest sounds in jazz, soul, electronica and funk from contemporary artists with a few classics thrown in for spice.
Travel Fun
(6:30-7 PM Every other Tuesday)
Host and travel writer Maribeth Clemente takes us on a voyage extraordinaire during her talk show on travel. Since late 2003, Maribeth has snagged interviews with fascinating and illustrious guests such as Ken Burns, Bobbi Brown, Mariel Hemingway and Pico Iyer, many of whom have ties to Telluride. Her programs cover a wide range of travel topics from humor and travel to green hotels. You can listen to many of her interviews as podcasts at her Web site/blog BonjourColorado.com. Francophiles especially enjoy Travel Fun since Maribeth draws upon her more than decade-long experience in France on many of her shows.

Urban Sweets
(3 - 5 PM Every other Friday)
Music to get the weekend started. I like to play a fun upbeat show featuring tunes with a reggae beat as the driving force but heading into different directions. A bit of world beat, some reggae, ska, electronica and even rock n' roll with an irie drum and bass line. Making sure to hit the "new tunes" drawer each show helps keep the music fresh and interesting. I sometimes showcase bands that have played in town, or are going to. Following the 4 PM reading of the Community Calendar I host a 15 minute slot called Access. It's a show available to the public each weekday used to air comments, announcements, and interviews. Musicians have been known to show up and give us a taste of their talents over the air. A typical Urban Sweets show will have music in many different languages, and always a song or more in Spanish. And I am happy to take your requests.
