Music to get the weekend started.  I like to play a fun upbeat show featuring tunes with a reggae beat as the driving force but heading into different directions.  A bit of world beat,  some reggae,  ska,  electronica and even rock n' roll with an irie drum and bass line.  Making sure to hit the "new tunes" drawer each show helps keep the music fresh and interesting.  I sometimes showcase bands that have played in town,  or are going to.  Following the 4 PM reading of the Community Calendar I host a 15 minute slot called Access.  It's a show available to the public each weekday used to air comments,  announcements,  and interviews.  Musicians have been known to show up and give us  a taste of their talents over the air.  A typical Urban Sweets show will have music in many different languages,  and always a song or more in Spanish.  And I am happy to take your requests.
