PB & J or Cows with Guns

Blues and jazz with a little funk, soul and rock thrown in
  • Monday 1-3pm

PB & J
(1 - 3 PM Every other Monday)
PB & J stands for Pete's Blues and Jazz with host Peter Lundeen.  Latin, funk, soul, and groove are also favorites but blues and jazz,  both new and old,  are the standard fare.  Artists you might hear include Johnny Lang, Galactic, Miles Davis, James Brown, or St. Germain.  Each show depends on my mood and I usually let it flow.  I do not have a prearranged playlist.  The reason I started this show in the fall of 2001 was twofold: one to increase people's awareness of what Jazz is and the incredible range of music included under that label and two,  to keep the Blues Alive since blues is rarely played on any radio station in any major city,  and it should be !

Cows With Guns
(1 - 3 PM Every other Monday)
"Cows With Guns" is an eclectic (Yes all DJs say that) mix of some cud-chewing fun. For two hours, we go on an udderly wild ride down the aural pathways of life. We often have visitors sitting in and helping spin their favorites, but the genres typically consist of pop, rock,  jazz, and blues, with some comedy thrown in for good measure. The theme song "Cows with Guns" is likely the only country music you will hear on the show. I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. For the people who like country music,  denigrate means "put down".  Mark Goldfogel,  Bovine Bearing Arms.
