  • The 5th annual Telluride Holiday Pop-Up Market will be at the Sheridan Opera House Show Bar on Sunday, Dec. 16 and Monday, Dec. 17, 11am-7pm both days.

  • There will be a memorial service for James Martin Hollrah tomorrow at Christ Presbyterian Church, 10am.

  • The Telluride High School Philanthropy Club, in conjunction with Reach Out and Read Colorado, is hosting a book drive December through February. Donate New or Gently-Used Children’s Books at designated boxes located at the Elementary and High School, the post office and the library. Books donated will be given to children who receive care at the Telluride Med Center. More information can be found at reachoutandread.org

  • Talking Gourds Poetry will host poet duo Ruth Duffy and Mike Olschewsky, of Nucla, at Telluride Arts HQ, Tuesday Dec. 18th @ 6pm. They will perform in Norwood at the Meadowlark House (72 Greager Lane), Monday, Dec.17th at 6:30pm. This month’s theme is teachers.

  • The Ouray County Players Present “A Christmas Carol,” Live Radio Show. A new hour-long adaptation of the classic Dickens’s novel performed in front of the audience complete with music and live sound-effects. Today, Dec. 14th and tomorrow, the 15th, at the Wright Opera House.

  • Telluride's favorite Peter Pans are back with DUDE AND BRO GET REAL. An original comedy about facing life's challenges, growing up and getting old, with music by Telluride Theatre! Dec 18-21 at the Sheridan Opera House, 8pm nightly. Telluride Theater will bring the performance to the Sherbino Theater in Ridgeway on Dec. 22 & 23 @ 8pm.

  • The Rock and Roll Academy’s Winter Concert is tonight at the Sheridan. The music starts at 5:30pm.

  • The Wilkinson Library invites kids to come by after school for food, games, and crafts at their Holiday Party. Thursday, Dec. 20th, 3:45-5pm.

  • Wilkinson Library and Between the Covers present Authors Uncovered ft. Marla Meredith and “High Altitude Cuisine.” At the library, Dec. 18th @ 6pm.

  • The Ouray Elks Stocking Stuffing and Potluck is Friday, Dec. 21st @ 6pm.

  • The Telluride Nordic Center will offer clinics on Classic Skiing, every Monday, and Skate Skiing, every Tuesday, throughout January. First clinics are January 7th and 8th, 12-1pm at the Nordic Center in Town Park. Call 728-1144 to register.

  • There is free public skating at Hanley Rink, today 10am-3:15pm.

  • The public is invited to help the Durango Bird Club this Sunday, as they conduct their annual Christmas Bird Count.  This count is part of a nationwide census of wintering birds.
