  • A winter solstice memorial celebration for former KOTO DJ and longtime area resident Billy Joe Moffat will be held at 4 p.m. December 21st at the Dolores Community Center. Please bring cuisine or libations, your smile, and memories of Billy. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to KOTO Community Radio by calling (970) 728-4334 or by going to koto.org and clicking the donate button.

  • Talking Gourds Poetry will host poet duo Ruth Duffy and Mike Olschewsky, of Nucla. They will perform in Norwood at the Meadowlark House (72 Greager Lane), tonight at 6:30pm. Tomorrow they will perform at Telluride Arts HQ @ 6pm.This month’s theme is teachers.

  • The Telluride High School Philanthropy Club, in conjunction with Reach Out and Read Colorado, is hosting a book drive December through February. Donate New or Gently-Used Children’s Books at designated boxes located at the Elementary and High School, the post office and the library. Books donated will be given to children who receive care at the Telluride Med Center. More information can be found at reachoutandread.org

  • The 5th annual Telluride Holiday Pop-Up Market will be at the Sheridan Opera House Show Bar today, 11am-7pm.

  • Telluride Film Fest presents one showing of the film, MID 90s. Thursday, Dec.20 at 6:15pm.  Nugget passes not accepted.

  • The Colorado Drag Project is bringing the holiday spirit to Telluride. Don’t miss the Drag Cabaret Dinner and Benefit Show for the San Miguel Resource Center. That takes place December 21st, 6pm at Sideworks. The entertainment continues with a Very Blowing Christmas at O’Bannon’s, December 22nd at 8pm.   • Telluride's favorite Peter Pans are back with DUDE AND BRO GET REAL. An original comedy about facing life's challenges, growing up and getting old, with music by Telluride Theatre! Dec. 18-21 at the Sheridan Opera House, 8pm nightly. Telluride Theater will bring the performance to the Sherbino Theater in Ridgeway on Dec. 22 & 23 @ 8pm.

  • Spanish Happy Hour @ Esperanza's meets this Thursday, Dec 20 at 5:00 pm. Practice Spanish with Jill and Gloria from the library and other Spanish speakers from the community. All levels are welcome!
