 It is election time again for the Board of Directors of the San Miguel Educational Fund.  That is KOTO’s governing board.  Three seats are open.   If you would like to be involved in KOTO’s management and direction, submit a statement of interest, not to exceed 150 words, to mark@koto.org by today, October 22.

 Tuesday evening at 5:15 at OAK, meet with supporters of the Telluride Hospital District's Ballot Measure 6B to discuss why the initiative is essential to both the Telluride Medical Center, its staff and the entire community.

 KOTO is looking for listeners to serve on its Citizens Advisory Board.  This board meets quarterly to discuss programming on KOTO.  The next meeting is in early December.  If you’d be interested in being on this board, please email ben@koto.org

Eco-Action Partners will hold an electronics recycling event on Thursday October 25th at the Carhenge Lot off of West Pacific, from 11am-4pm.  Fees apply. Cell phones, wires and rechargeable batteries are free.

 UPHILL CLOSURE EFFECTIVE MONDAY, OCTOBER 22ND
As part of the Winter Operating Plan with the Forest Service Telluride Ski Resort sets a preseason closure date where the mountain is closed to uphill access for a variety of safety-related reasons. This year the closure period will be Monday, October 22, 2018 through Opening Day.

Volunteer at the Ah Haa School and earn free classes!  Learn more about volunteer opportunities Thursday, October 25th from 2-3:30 pm at the Ah Haa.  Come to a free exhibition and talk about the Northern Arizona Volunteer Medical Corps doctors experiences among the people of Haiti at the Ah Haa School Saturday, November 10 at 5 pm.
