Poetica writers will be featured this month as part of the Talking Gourds poetry series. Local poets will perform at the Telluride Arts headquarters Jan. 22nd, starting at 6 p.m. Theme for this month is Ars Poetica – the name of a poem by the Roman poet Horace and which has come to mean poets writing about the art of poetry.

The Progressive Women’s Caucus is organizing the third annual Women’s March, Saturday January 19. Meet at 10:30 am at the Courthouse in Telluride. The PWC will be hosting Twenty (by) Twenty at Sheridan Old Baron Friday night at 7:30. The theme of the march and of Twenty (by) Twenty is "The Era of Women." There will also be a poster-making party for the march in the Library Program Room on Friday Jan 18 from 4-6pm.
The Kid’s Cross Country Ski team (only in their 2nd year) is raising money for cross-country ski uniforms (jackets, hats, race tops/bottoms). The kids are looking for sponsors to donate money for as many kilometers they can ski in a three hour time limit. They will ski laps around town park from 10 am until 1 pm.
