  • Attention Juniors and Seniors: True North’s Future Center advisors are on hand in Telluride and Norwood to help with completing the FAFSA, searching and applying for college scholarships, editing essays, creating resumes, and applying to career and technical schools. Advisors will be at the Telluride High School Library on Wednesdays from 2-5pm and in Norwood High School from 1-4pm in the Counseling office, as well as by appointment, by calling 970-329-2229.

  • True North’s Academic Tutoring Program takes place every Wednesday from 3:15-4:30 in the Telluride High School Library. Free and open to any high school students, Tutors are available for help in most subjects.

  • The Telluride Nordic Center will offer a Skate Skiing clinic today, 12-1pm at the Nordic Center in Town Park. Call 728-1144 to register.

  • Ski into History with the Telluride Historical Museum, Wednesday Jan. 16th at 10 a.m. Space is limited for this event, so sign up early! To register, email Theresa@telluridemusum.org or call the Museum at 970-728-3344.

  • The Wilkinson Library’s first Community Science Fair is Sat. Jan. 26th 5-7PM. All ages are welcome to participate! Visit www.telluridelibrary.org for more information on the guidelines and how to apply. 

  • Have you heard? KOTO Radio has a new studio at Norwood High School! Tune in every Friday at noon, starting Jan. 18, to hear "The Lunch Break," featuring students in Mr. L's class. Also, if you are a West End resident who would like to record a commentary to run after the news on KOTO, email cara@koto.org to set up a time. Office hours are on Thursdays. Record up to 3 minutes about events, fundraisers, nonprofit updates, community happenings, political opinions and more. And don't forget to tune in on the 18th to hear from local students. It's gearing up to be a great show.

  • Ridgway Yoga Shala invites you to experience Kirtan, call and response chanting with Melanie Law and guest drummer Jonathon Barfield. Thursday January 17th, 6-7:30 pm.  

  • The Telluride Choral Society invites you to join them for Springsing 2019, “In the Garden.” Register to participate by emailing Rhonda Muckerman at rlmuckerman@gmail.com.   • Montrose will have it first Women’s March, January 19th. Meet at Demoret Park, 246 E. Main Street. The March will take place 10-11am, participants are encouraged to show up at 9:30am.

  • The Wilkinson Library invites you to view the Super Wolf Blood Moon Eclipse, Sun, Jan 20 at 8:00 pm. Come view this special lunar eclipse through a high-powered telescope with local astronomy enthusiast Ramona Gaylord on the library's upstairs terrace. Appropriate for all ages! Please remember to dress warmly.
