  • Have you heard? KOTO Radio has a new studio at Norwood High School! Tune in every Friday at noon, starting Jan. 18, to hear "The Lunch Break," featuring students in Mr. L's class. Also, if you are a West End resident who would like to record a commentary to run after the news on KOTO, email cara@koto.org to set up a time. Office hours are on Thursdays. Record up to 3 minutes about events, fundraisers, nonprofit updates, community happenings, political opinions and more. And don't forget to tune in on the 18th to hear from local students. It's gearing up to be a great show.

  • The Kid’s Cross Country Ski team is raising money for cross-country ski uniforms. The kids are looking for sponsors to donate money for as many kilometers they can ski in a three hour time limit. They will ski laps around town park on Sunday, January 20th, from 10 am until 1 pm. If you would like to donate email nordic@tssc.org and sign up as a sponsor. 

  • The Sherbino Theater in Ridgeway will host Shane Carrick as he discusses “Empowerment through Skateboarding. Tonight, 7pm. More info at sherbino.org.

  • The Progressive Women’s Caucus is organizing the third annual Women’s March, Saturday January 19.  Meet at 10:30 am at the Courthouse in Telluride. The PWC will be hosting Twenty (by) Twenty at Sheridan Old Bar on Friday night at 7:30. The theme of the march and of Twenty (by) Twenty is "The Era of Women."

  • There will also be a poster-making party for the march in the Library Program Room on Friday Jan 18 from 4-6pm.

  • The Norwood Nordic Association will host some fun winter events this weekend. On Saturday January 19th, 6:30 PM, join in a Moonlight ski! Hot cider will be provided. Please BYOM (bring your own mug). Sunday, Jan. 20th at 11am there will be skate skiing clinic.  All levels welcome.
