  • The Telluride High School Interact Club Blood Drive will take place Jan. 24th, 11-2pm in the Telluride High School Parking lot. All donors must be 18 years old or older to donate.

  • The Progressive Women’s Caucus is organizing the third annual Women’s March, tomorrow, January 19th.  Meet at 10:30 am at the Courthouse in Telluride. The PWC will be hosting Twenty (by) Twenty at the Sheridan Bar tonight at 7:30. The theme of the march and of Twenty (by) Twenty is "The Era of Women. There will also be a poster-making party for the march in the Library Program Room today from 4-6pm.

  • Montrose will have it first Women’s March, January 19th. Meet at Demoret Park, 246 E. Main Street. The March will take place 10-11am, participants are encouraged to show up at 9:30am.

  • The Palm Classic Film Series presents “True Grit,” tonight 6:30pm. Donations accepted at the door to benefit the Palm Arts programming.

  • The Wilkinson Library invites you to view the Super Wolf Blood Moon Eclipse, Sun, Jan 20 at 8:00 pm. Come view this special lunar eclipse through a high-powered telescope with local astronomy enthusiast Ramona Gaylord on the library's upstairs terrace. Appropriate for all ages!

  • There will be a Moonlight Progressive Dinner on the Valley Floor, Saturday, Jan. 19th from 5:30-8pm. Please call Cindy at 708-3786.

  • The Norwood Nordic Association will host some fun winter events this weekend. On Saturday January 19th, 6:30 PM, join in a Moonlight ski! Sunday, Jan. 20th at 11am there will be skate skiing clinic.  All levels welcome. This will be followed by a Family friendly Nordic relay at 1pm.  All ages and levels, skate or classic skis welcome. More info at

  • The Kid’s Cross Country Ski team is raising money for cross-country ski uniforms. The kids are looking for sponsors to donate money for as many kilometers they can ski in a three hour time limit. They will ski laps around town park on Sunday, January 20th, from 10 am until 1 pm. If you would like to donate, email and sign up as a sponsor.

  • Have you heard? KOTO Radio has a new studio at Norwood High School! Tune in every Friday at noon, starting today, to hear "The Lunch Break," featuring students in Mr. L's class. Also, if you are a West End resident who would like to record a commentary to run after the news on KOTO, email to set up a time. Office hours are on Thursdays. Record up to 3 minutes about events, fundraisers, nonprofit updates, community happenings, political opinions and more. And don't forget to tune in at noon today to hear from local students. It's gearing up to be a great show.
