  • The Telluride Farmers Market’s Winter Market will be open today from noon-4pm at 335 West Colorado, (the west wing where elections take place). The market will be open on Fridays through January.

  • The Telluride Mountain Club will host a Back Country Chat, January 7th at Jagged Edge. 6:15-8:45 pm. The topic will be Welcome Back Winter.

  • A fun, kid’s art class will be available over winter break. Final classes are today and Saturday. At the Mountain Lodge beginning at 4:30pm.

  • Cottonwood trio performs at the Bean tonight, 6pm.

  • Tomorrow, the Sherbino Theater will feature the film, THE HUMAN ELEMENT. Follow renowned environmental photographer James Balog as he highlights Americans who are on the frontlines of climate change, inspiring us to re-evaluate our relationship with the natural world. Doors at 6:30, film at 7pm.

  • Emancipator performs at the Sheridan Opera House tonight, show at 9pm.

  • Today, enjoy free public skating at Hanley Rink, 10am-1:30pm.

  • The Ridgeway Public Library will host a presentation on the Health of the San Miguel Watershed. Monday January, 7th at 1pm.

  • The seventh annual Western Colorado Food and Farm Forum is Jan. 25-26th at the Montrose Pavilion. Farmer Joel Salatin will be the keynote speaker.

  • The San Juan Mountain Guides will host a first-come, first-served session of Kids Climbing College at the Ouray Ice Park. An opportunity for youth, 7-17, to try the sport for free. Saturday, January 5th, 10am-2pm.

  • The Annual Elks Hoop Shoot Free Throw Contest for kids ages 8-13,  is Saturday, January 5, 9am at the Norwood High School Gym.
