  • The Telluride Nordic Center will offer clinics on Classic Skiing, every Monday, and Skate Skiing, every Tuesday, throughout January. First clinics are January 7th and 8th, 12-1pm at the Nordic Center in Town Park. Call 728-1144 to register.

  • Tonight, the Sherbino Theater will feature the film, THE HUMAN ELEMENT. Follow renowned environmental photographer James Balog as he highlights Americans who are on the frontlines of climate change, inspiring us to re-evaluate our relationship with the natural world.   • Telluride Film Festival’s Cinematheque winter series continues at the Wilkinson Library.  “A Director Retrospective- The Great Hal Ashby,” will feature HAROLD AND MAUDE (1971, 91 minutes, Rated PG), January 7th. 6-8pm.

  • Wilkinson Library will host a free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney, on Wednesday, Jan. 9th 2-5pm.  Please contact 728-4519 to schedule an appointment.

  • The San Juan Mountain Guides will host a first-come, first-served session of Kids Climbing College at the Ouray Ice Park. An opportunity for youth, 7-17, to try the sport for free. Today, 10am-2pm.

  • Join Susie St. Onge the first Tuesday of each month for Mindfulness Meditation. January 8th’s class will focus on Mindfulness For Emotions. 5:30 @ Wilkinson Library.

  • The seventh annual Western Colorado Food and Farm Forum is Jan. 25-26th at the Montrose Pavilion. Farmer Joel Salatin will be the keynote speaker.

  • Pinhead’s winter classes start Monday January 14th! 4th - 6th graders will be building a mini ski and snowboard park at the STEM Lab. On Wednesdays, for kindergarten - 2nd graders, there is now MINI MAKERS, a hands-on class for budding builders and engineers.  On Thursdays, 4th-6th grade girls can join GIRLS CAN CODE at the STEM lab.
