  • Join Susie St. Onge the first Tuesday of each month for Mindfulness Meditation. January 8th’s class will focus on Mindfulness For Emotions. 5:30 @ Wilkinson Library.

  • The seventh annual Western Colorado Food and Farm Forum is Jan. 25-26th at the Montrose Pavilion. Farmer Joel Salatin will be the keynote speaker.

  • The Telluride Nordic Center will offer clinics on Classic Skiing, every Monday, and Skate Skiing, every Tuesday, throughout January. First clinics are January 7th and 8th, 12-1pm at the Nordic Center in Town Park. Call 728-1144 to register.

  • The Ridgeway Public Library will host a presentation on the Health of the San Miguel Watershed. Monday January, 7th at 1pm.

  • Telluride Film Festival’s Cinematheque winter series continues at the Wilkinson Library.  “A Director Retrospective- The Great Hal Ashby,” will feature HAROLD AND MAUDE (1971, 91 minutes, Rated PG), Tomorrow, 6-8pm.

  • Wilkinson Library will host a free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney, on Wednesday, Jan. 9th 2-5pm.  Please contact 728-4519 to schedule an appointment.   

  • Saturday and Sunday, January 12th and 13th, check out San Juan Skijoring at the fairgrounds in Ridgeway. The event starts at noon each day. Competitors can sign-up Friday night from 6-9pm at Chipeta Ranch. The full schedule for the weekend can be found at sanjuanskijoring.com.

  • The Wilkinson Library’s first Community Science Fair is Sat. Jan. 26th 5-7PM. All ages are welcome to participate! Visit www.telluridelibrary.org for more information on the guidelines and how to apply. 

  • On January 10th, parents are invited to participate in educational workshops designed to give you support as you raise your little one(s). Free childcare and dinner will be provided. 5:30-6:30pm. The focus of the workshop will be Healthy Habits for Your Children: A Panel with Doctors, Dentists, and Nutritionists.

  • The Sunflower Theater in Cortez will screen Human Flow, an epic film journey led by the internationally renowned artist Ai Weiwei. Thursday, January 10th, doors at 6:30, film at 7pm. More information can be found at sunflowertheater.org
