  • The Ridgway Fire Department will host its 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off, November 9th, 4-9pm. To enter a chili into the cook-off, contact Jeff at jctunnicliff@gmail.com. This event takes place over Veterans Day Weekend, so all active Military and Veterans get in for free. All proceeds from the door and bar go to support the Ridgway Volunteer Fire Department.   • The KOTO Ski Swap will take place November 15th-18th, Sale day the 16th. Sign-up to volunteer and get access to the pre-swap shop! If you’d like to sell items at the swap, come to the KOTO office to buy your tags. For more information and all available shifts, go to koto.org

  • Deep Creek Mine will have a Night of the Dead Burn tonight. Music by DJ Cam, Beatrixx Kiddo, and San Rokera! Tickets and more information available at brownpapertickets.com

  • The Sunflower Theater in Cortez is bringing Alt Country group, Genuine Cowhide, tonight, show at 7:30pm.

  • The Wilkinson Library will feature Margaret Atwood’s novel, the Testaments, the sequel to the Handmaid’s Tale, for their Pop-up Book Club. Check out a book club copy of the book from the library and then join a lively discussion on November 6th, 5:30-6:30pm. Everyone is welcome. 

  • The Talking Gourds Poetry Club will feature Barbara Rockman of Santa Fe, November’s performer. Tuesday, November 5th, at 6 p.m. at the Telluride Arts HQ. The theme will be “Going Home.”

  • The WPL will host a Free Parenting Workshop, focusing on Managing Challenging Behaviors At Home, November 7th in the Program Room. 5:30-7:30pm. Dinner and child care will be provided.

  • The 7th Judicial District is looking for applicants to fill an open seat on its Victim Assistance and Law Enforcement Board. Contact Aimee English at 970-252-4276 or aimee.english@co7da.org for additional information. Applications are due by December 1st.

  • Please join the Telluride Yoga Center at the Madeline Hotel, Sunday, December 1st, from 4:30-6:30 pm for an evening of Music, Chant, & Storytelling with visiting en-chantress, Allison Dennis.
