  • San Miguel County Dept. of Health and Environment is having a walk-in flu vaccine clinic today, November 6th, from 11am to 3pm.  Bring your insurance card or self-pay.   Located in the Miramonte Building. 333 W. Colorado Ave. Suite 315

  • The Wilkinson Library will feature Margaret Atwood’s novel, the Testaments, the sequel to the Handmaid’s Tale, for their Pop-up Book Club. Check out a book club copy of the book from the library and then join a lively discussion tonight, 5:30-6:30pm. Everyone is welcome. 

  • The Talking Gourds Poetry Club will feature Barbara Rockman of Santa Fe, November’s performer. Tonight at 6 p.m. at the  Telluride Arts HQ. The theme will be “Going Home.”

  • Don't miss Rainbow-Rascals-Rockies 47th Annual Fall Fundraiser on November 8th, 5:30-9:30 at the Ah Haa School. Get your ticket from a Rainbow-Rascals-Rockies kid or purchase one at the door.

  • The KOTO Ski Swap will take place Saturday November 16 from 10-4 in the Wilkinson Library Parking garage.  Sign-up online to volunteer and get access to the pre-swap shop! If you’d like to sell items at the swap, come to the KOTO office to buy your tags ($1 ea.). For more information and all available shifts, go to koto.org

  • The Ridgway Fire Department will host its 3rd Annual Chili Cook-off, Saturday November 9th, 4-9pm. To enter a chili into the cook-off, contact Jeff at jctunnicliff@gmail.com. Since this event takes place over Veterans Day Weekend, all active Military and Veterans get in for free. All proceeds from the door and bar go to support the Ridgway Volunteer Fire Department.   • The Annual Veterans Dinner and Services Fair, takes place Friday, November 8th at the Telluride Elks Lodge. Doors will open at 5pm, dinner will be at 6pm. Free to veterans and active duty military - all others are $15 per person. Co-sponsored by the Telluride Elks Lodge, American Legion Post #12, and the Elks National Foundation.

  • San Miguel Resource Center is currently experiencing some issues with their local hotline number, so please use the toll free number 1-844-816-3915 if you need to reach them. The hotline is available 24 hours a day and advocates are ready to listen.

  • Telluride Ski Patrol and the US Forest Service will begin mandatory howitzer training this Friday, November 8, beginning around 9am and ending around 5pm. The Ski Resort will be CLOSED to ALL travel during Friday’s training

  • Tri-County Health Network will host a Behavioral Health Lunch and Learn at the Wilkinson Library on Friday, November 15th, in the main program room from 12:00 to 1:00pm.  Enjoy a free lunch while learning about teletherapy, mental health first aid and other behavioral health programs.  Call 970-708-7096 for more information.
