  • Talking Gourds Poetry will have their monthly meeting, tonight, 6pm at the Telluride Arts HQ (across from the library.) The theme for this month will be “first kiss.”

  • Telluride Mountain Club’s Winter Film Night is tomorrow at the Sheridan Opera House. Doors at 6, Films start at 6:45pm. Tickets and more info available at telluridemountainclub.org.

  • The 20th Annual Comedy Fest returns to Telluride February 14th-17th. More info and tickets at sheridanoperahouse.com

  • A free legal clinic, for parties who have no attorney, will be held at the Wilkinson Library, Wednesday, Feb 13th, 2-5 PM  Please contact the Wilkinson Public Library at 728-4519 to schedule an appointment.   

  • Volunteers are needed for the Friends of the Library book sale scheduled for February 15th-17th. Volunteers are especially needed for set up on February 14 and take down on February 17. Volunteers may shop early on the evening of February 14. A sign up form is available at the circulation desk at the library. Volunteers may also call Nancy at 708-4769.

  • Join the Pinhead Institute for No School Science Project - Engineering, on Friday, Feb. 15th. Grades K-6th are invited to participate. At the Wilkinson Public Library, 1-2pm. No registration required.

  • The San Miguel County Democratic Reorganization Meeting will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday February 15th at the Wilkinson Public Library in the Telluride Room.  The meeting is open to the public. At the meeting, the SMCD Central Committee will elect officers for a two-year term.  Officers to be elected include the Chair, Vice-Chair, (a second Vice- Chair is optional), Secretary and Treasurer.  The Central Committee consists of the present officers of the Party, precinct captains, and elected county officers who are Democrats. Only members of the Central Committee will be able to vote for officers. Candidates who are not members of the Central Committee will be welcome to speak in support of their candidacy. 

  • Join other bibliophiles at The West End Bistro at The Hotel Telluride Thursday, Feb. 14th, to discuss what books you are reading, have read, or would like to read while sipping on libations. 5:15-6:15.
