  • The Wilkinson Library will host a resume-building workshop for students in preparation for the Annual Summer Teen Jobs Fair. The Workshop will take place Tuesday, April 23rd 3:30-5:30pm. The job fair takes place Friday, April 26th, 3-6pm.

  • Celebrate Earth Day with the Telluride Mountain School at a free community wide, multimedia slide show presentation and book signing with nationally renowned, Colorado Landscape Photographer John Fielder. Monday, April 22 from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. At the Wilkinson Library. There will be a book signing before and after event (6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.).

  • Telluride Green Grant applications are available at and at Applications are due May 17th. Green Grants provide help for the Telluride community in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions.

  • It’s Spring cleaning time! Mark your calendars for the following Refuse Disposal Events. On Saturday, May 4th, 9am-3pm at the Norwood Fairgrounds, yard and household refuse will be accepted. On Friday, May 17th, Telluride-County Spring Cleanup will take place at Carhenge, 10am-3pm. Appliance, scrap metal, tires, vehicle batteries and other household and garden refuse will be accepted. Household Electronics will be accepted at both events. Saturday, May 18th, at Carhenge, Hazardous Waste will be accepted. Disposal fees may apply.

  • Please join Telluride Earth Guardians, Pinhead Institute, Ah Haa, Carbon Neutral Coalition, EcoAction Partners, and friends to celebrate Earth Day on April 22nd from 3:30 to 5 pm in Elks Park. A party in Elks Park to celebrate our beautiful planet will follow a march through downtown Telluride! All are welcome!

  • Registration is open for the Wilkinson’s local chef cooking class. On April 29th, Learn how to make dairy free Palak Paneer with Ashley Berard. 6-8pm.

  • The Town of Telluride is issuing a Spring Flooding Alert. A sudden warm period or heavy rainfall onto the snowpack can cause flooding in town this spring. If you experience bigger puddles than normal during spring runoff, Contact Public Works at (970) 728-8415. If you see water backing up and flooding over the banks of the San Miguel River, Cornet Creek or Butcher Creek, Contact the Marshall’s Department at (970) 728-3818 or (970) 249-9110.   • Thursday, April 25th, The Wilkinson Library, Tri-County Health and Christ Presbyterian Church will host a discussion about making the most of your (finite) life. This is part of the Death Café series, aimed at facilitating honest and frank discussions on death. At Christ Presbyterian Church, 5:30pm.

  • Uphill access for the mountain begins Saturday, April 13th.

  • SMEF, (KOTO’s governing board), will host its monthly meeting this Monday, April 15th in the Telluride Room at the WPL. 5pm. The public is always welcome to attend.
