  • Telluride Green Grant applications are available at telluride-co.gov and at ecoactionpartners.org. Applications are due May 17th. Green Grants provide help for the Telluride community in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions. 

  • Candidates are wanted for 4 open seats on Mountain Village’s Town Council. Send a letter of intent and candidate biographical form (available at the MVTC website) to mvclerk@mtnvillage.org. Applications are due May 5th by 5pm.

  • Its Spring cleaning time! Mark your calendars for the following Refuse Disposal Events. On Saturday, May 4th, 9am-3pm at the Norwood Fairgrounds, yard and household refuse will be accepted. On Friday, May 17th, Telluride-County Spring Cleanup will take place at Carhenge, 10am-3pm. Appliance, scrap metal, tires, vehicle batteries and other household and garden refuse will be accepted. Household Electronics will be accepted at both events. Saturday, May 18th, at Carhenge, Hazardous Waste will be accepted. Disposal fees may apply.

  • The Wilkinson Library will host a resume-building workshop for students in preparation for the Annual Summer Teen Jobs Fair. The Workshop will today, 3:30-5:30pm. The job fair takes place Friday, April 26th, 3-6pm.

  • The Palm’s Classic Cinema Series celebrating the films of 1969 present Midnight Cowboy. Thursday, April 25th at 7pm. Free to the public.

  • Tickets are available for the Young People’s Theater’s production of the Music Man. Performances take place May 3rd-5th, 6pm nightly. Head to Sheridanoperahouse.com for tickets and more information.

  • Thursday, April 25th, The Wilkinson Library, Tri-County Health and Christ Presbyterian Church will host a discussion about making the most of your (finite) life. This is part of the Death Café series, aimed at facilitating honest and frank discussions on death. At Christ Presbyterian Church, 5:30pm.

  • Join the Pinhead Institute, Telluride Historical Museum, Bright Futures and many others in their annual celebration of children, “Dia de los Niños.” The celebration emphasizes the importance of literacy for children of all linguistic and cultural backgrounds.   • The Telluride Foundation and the Wilkinson Public Library present, “Digging into Demographics,” a workshop focused on helping non-profits tell their story with better statistical information.
