  • Talking Gourds Poetry will host Naturalist Kathleen Cain of Denver. April 29th, Talking Gourds will meet at the Meadowlark House in Norwood, 6:30pm. On Tuesday, April 30th, Talking Gourds will meet at Telluride Arts HQ at 6pm. The Wilkinson Public Library will also host Cain at a free Walk ‘n Talk, Wednesday May 1st from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This month’s theme is trees/cottonwoods.

  • Telluride Green Grant applications are available at telluride-co.gov and at ecoactionpartners.org. Applications are due May 17th. Green Grants provide help for the Telluride community in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions. 

  • The Annual Summer Teen Jobs Fair takes place tomorrow, April 26th, 3-6pm at the Wilkinson Library. There will be workshops upstairs from 3-4:30, with topics covering job applications, interview skills and a chance to fine tune and print your resume. From 4-6pm downstairs, local businesses who are offering summer jobs to teens will be on hand to provide information, applications, and network. Teens from anywhere in the region are welcome and encouraged to attend!

  • Registration is open for the Wilkinson’s local chef cooking class. On April 29th, Learn how to make dairy free Palak Paneer with Ashley Berard. 6-8pm.

  • The Wilkinson Library, Tri-County Health and Christ Presbyterian Church will host a discussion about making the most of your (finite) life. This is part of the Death Café series, aimed at facilitating honest and frank discussions on death. At Christ Presbyterian Church, tonight at 5:30pm.

  • CCAASE is now accepting online applications for calendar dates for 2020. Applications can be found on the Town of Telluride’s website and are due by 5pm on May 10th. Call (970) 728-2059 or email jwontrobski@telluride-co.gov with any questions.

  • Tickets are available for the Young People’s Theater’s production of the Music Man. Performances take place May 3rd-5th, 6pm nightly. Head to Sheridanoperahouse.com for tickets and more information.

  • The Telluride Foundation and the Wilkinson Public Library present, “Digging into Demographics,” a workshop focused on helping non-profits tell their story with better statistical information.
