  • The Telluride Terrain Park present their 1st Annual Banked Slalom course. All Ages are welcome to participate. Registration is free and will take place today, 9-11am at the Burton Store in Mountain Village.

  • ROCC’s Dark Skies committee present “Saving the Dark,” a documentary on the need to preserve night skies and ways to combat light pollution. At the Sherbino Theater tonight, 7pm.

  • Big Something, presented by the RIDE Festival, performs at the Sheridan tonight, 8pm.

  • Alan Booradley and the NIA perform at the Liberty tonight, 8pm.

  • Celebrate the beginning of Passover at a Community Potluck at the New Sheridan Bar, April 19th at 6pm. Please e-mail asbrowning1@gmail.com before Monday, April 8th, with a dish you plan to bring and the number of people attending.

  • Candidates are wanted for 4 open seats on Mountain Village’s Town Council. Send a letter of intent and candidate biographical form (available at the MVTC website) to mvclerk@mtnvilagge.org. Applications are due May 5th by 5pm.

  • A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney, will take place from 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM on Wednesday, April 10th. Please contact the Wilkinson Public Library at (970) 728-4519 to schedule an appointment.

  • The Town of Telluride is issuing a Spring Flooding Alert. A sudden warm period or heavy rainfall onto the snowpack can cause flooding in town this spring. If you experience bigger puddles than normal during spring runoff, Contact Public Works at (970) 728-8415. If you see water backing up and flooding over the banks of the San Miguel River, Cornet Creek or Butcher Creek, Contact the Marshall’s Department at (970) 728-3818 or (970) 249-9110. If there is a flood event, shelter in place on a second floor. For latest information, sign-up for CodeRED emergency notifications at sanmiguelcountyco.gov/174/Emergency-Management.

  • Celebrate Earth Day with the Telluride Mountain School at a free community wide, multimedia slide show presentation and book signing with nationally renowned, Colorado Landscape Photographer John Fielder. Monday, April 22 from 7:00 - 8:15 p.m. At the Wilkinson Library. There will be a book signing before and after event (6:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m.).
