Its Spring cleaning time! Mark your calendars for the following Refuse Disposal Events. On Saturday, May 4th, 9am-3pm at the Norwood Fairgrounds, yard and household refuse will be accepted. On Friday, May 17th, Telluride-County Spring Cleanup will take place at Carhenge, 10am-3pm. Appliance, scrap metal, tires, vehicle batteries and other household and garden refuse will be accepted. Household Electronics will be accepted at both events. Saturday, May 18th, at Carhenge, Hazardous Waste will be accepted. Disposal fees may apply.

The Town of Telluride is issuing a Spring Flooding Alert. A sudden warm period or heavy rainfall onto the snowpack can cause flooding in town this spring. If you experience bigger puddles than normal during spring runoff, Contact Public Works at (970) 728-8415. If you see water backing up and flooding over the banks of the San Miguel River, Cornet Creek or Butcher Creek, Contact the Marshall’s Department at (970) 728-3818 or (970) 249-9110. The Wilkinson Library will host a resume-building workshop for students in preparation for the Annual Summer Teen Jobs Fair. The Workshop will take place Tuesday, April 23rd 3:30-5:30pm. The job fair takes place Friday, April 26th, 3-6pm.
