  • The Rock and Roll Academy invites you to their Underground Black Box Rock Show! Tonight, starting at 5PM. Join 10 student bands as they rock the Black Box at this unforgettable FREE event! Black attire encouraged!

  • CCAASE is now accepting online applications for calendar dates for 2020. Applications can be found on the Town of Telluride’s website and are due by 5pm today. Call (970) 728-2059 or email jwontrobski@telluride-co.gov with any questions.

  • It’s warming up and black bears are awakening. Make sure your polycart complies with the Town of Tellurides requirements. Make sure both latches work, that the lid is intact, there are no cracks in the body and the strap is secure. If your polycart needs stenciling, repair or upgrades, call 970-728-2177. A fed bear is a dead bear.

  • The “Love Your Valley Festival” is tomorrow, May 11th, at the Ridgway Town Park. 1pm-6pm.

  • The public is invited to a free screening of “Hippie Family Values,” an intimate chronicle of hippie elders and their adult children, filmed over a 10-year period at a communal ranch in New Mexico.  The documentary will be followed by discussion with filmmaker Beverly Seckinger and film participants Dulcie Clarkson Ford, Charris Ford, and Kate Brown. Wednesday, May 15th at 6:00 pm, at the WPL.

  • Spanish Happy Hour @ Esperanza's is Thursday, May 16th at 5:00 pm. Practice Spanish with Jill and Gloria from the library and other Spanish speakers from the community. All levels are welcome!

  • Mad River Theater Works Presents Wings of Courage, an original play with live music based on the life of Eugene Bullard, the first African-American combat pilot. Tomorrow, May 11th 7:00pm at the Michael D. Palm Theatre.

  • Tri-County Health Network will host 2 talks on Suicide: Prevention, Aftermath and Healing. Kristina Daniel, LPC, ADS, will be speaking about suicide in our communities, how to help our communities heal and how to recognize the warning signs and help others.  She will also provide information and offer a free session of Auricular Acudetox, which has been shown to reduce anxiety, improve sleep, and reduce depressive symptoms.  Join TCH Network and Daniel at the Norwood Community Center on May 13th, 6-8:15pm and at the Ah Haa School on May 14th, 11:00am-1:30pm.

  • SMRHA is hosting Lottery Information Discussions. Learn about the Town of Telluride’s Lottery Process. There will be a Spanish Interpreter at Every Meeting. The first meeting is Monday, May 13th, 5-6pm in the Telluride Room at the WPL.

  • The Sherbino Theater’s Sherb Talk series brings Garret Guinn to Ridgway, tonight. Guuinn will speak on Long Distance Hiking and the Path to the Single-Year Triple Crown. Doors at 7pm, talk at 8pm.
