  • The Town of Telluride is issuing a Spring Flooding Alert. A sudden warm period or heavy rainfall onto the snowpack can cause flooding in town this spring. If you experience bigger puddles than normal during spring runoff, Contact Public Works at (970) 728-8415. If you see water backing up and flooding over the banks of the San Miguel River, Cornet Creek or Butcher Creek, Contact the Marshall’s Department at (970) 728-3818 or (970) 249-9110.   • Tuesday, May 21st, the Wilkinson Library will continue its series “Tackling Tough Topics,” with a discussion on race and the book, White Fragility. Discussion begins at 5:30pm.

  • Registration is open for Tri County Health’s Upcoming courses on Adult and Youth Mental Health First Aid. On Tuesday, May 21st, the “Youth Mental Health First Aid,” designed for adults who regularly interact with or work with youth, will meet at the Telluride Fire Station, 9am-5pm. On Friday, May 31st, “Adult Mental Health Fist Aid” will meet at the Ah Haa School, 9am-5pm. The Adult class provides the skills to help your adult friends, family members and coworkers.   • Telluride Adaptive Sports Program is looking for volunteers for the summer season. As a non-profit, we offer outdoor recreation to individuals living with disabilities.
