  • The Gondola is open for the summer season. Please note that there will be NO MOUNTAIN ACCESS FOR SKIING/SNOWBOARDING/BIKING from San Sophia Station and limited mountain access for sightseeing and hiking at this time. Operating hours are 6:30 a.m. to midnight seven days a week. The gondola will run until 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays June 21-September 14.

  • Join the Fresh Food Hub in Norwood for a screening of the film “How We Grow,” tonight. Dinner at 5:30pm, film at 6pm. Call or text Leila if you would like to volunteer for food service at 510-205-4550.

  • The Telluride Institute, the Doris Duke Conservation Scholars program and Freshwater Life, a new local nonprofit conservation organization, welcome you to an evening of music, mingling, and stories of conservation successes. Tonight at 6pm, at Ghost Town.

  • It’s warming up and black bears are awakening. Make sure your polycart complies with the Town of Tellurides requirements. Make sure both latches work, that the lid is intact, there are no cracks in the body and the strap is secure. If your polycart needs stenciling, repair or upgrades, call 970-728-2177. A fed bear is a dead bear.

  • Original Thinkers will host a free screening of “Running with Beto,” followed by a conversation with director David Modigliani. June 6th at the Nugget Theater. Film at 8pm.

  • Join the Telluride Historical Museum in celebrating the opening of their newest exhibit, If These Walls Could Talk: Preservation & Change, Thursday, June 6th, 6-8pm. Immerse yourself in the built landscape of the box canyon and discover why Telluride looks the way it does. This is a FREE evening at the museum complete with beverages and light fare. All are welcome. The Museum re-opens for the summer season Friday, June 3rd.

  • WIN and Emerge Colorado are hosting a free, one-day workshop in Durango on June 1st for women and non-binary people of the western slope who are interested in learning about running for office. Please sign up in advance by sending an email to joan@joanmay.org

  • Motorcycles, Jeeps, and Classic Cars are all invited to the 3rd annual Ride to Rico! Start where you are and ride with your crew on your own schedule with one destination: Rico. Smoked BBQ and live music start at noon on Saturday, May 25th and Sunday, May 26th.

  • Telluride Adaptive Sports Program is pleased to present Operation Encore on Saturday, June 8th. Operation Encore is a collection of highly talented singer/songwriters, who have also served in the U.S. military with tours including Iraq and Afghanistan.
