  • WIN and Emerge Colorado are hosting a free, one-day workshop in Durango, tomorrow, for women and non-binary people of the western slope who are interested in learning about running for office. Admission is free, but you must sign up in advance by sending an email to joan@joanmay.org

  • The KOTO board of directors will hold a special meeting to discuss strategic planning this morning at 10am in the Wilkinson Library. 

  • The Telluride Balloon Festival begins today and continues through June 2nd.  The Annual Main Street GLO will take place on Saturday evening, weather permitting.  Colorado Avenue will be closed to traffic, from 6 to 10 p.m. Come out and enjoy all the color!

  • SMRHA is hosting Lottery Information Discussions. Learn about the Town of Telluride’s Lottery Process. There will be a Spanish Interpreter at Every Meeting. The next meeting is June 3rd, 5-6pm in the Magazine Room at the WPL.

  • The Society Turn Block Party returns for the summer this Saturday, June 1st, from 4-8pm. Music provided by Joint Point. Walk, Hike ,Ride, SUP or Park at the County Lot. NO DOGS Please!

  • Tri County Health’s course on Adult Mental Health Fist Aid will meet at the Ah Haa School, today, 9am-5pm. This class provides the skills to help your adult friends, family members and coworkers. To register and to find out more, visit tchnetwork.org or contact 970-708-7096.

  • The Western Slope Conservation Center's 19th annual River Fest takes place in Paonia, June 1st-2nd. Music, Food, beer and cider, and a silent auction with games for kids of all ages will be offered, and of course, fun on the river.   • The Wilkinson Library will moderate a candidate forum for the Mountain Village Town Council election on June 4th at the Mountain Village Town Hall, (above the Market at Mtn. Village). There will be a mixer at 5:15pm and the forum begins at 6pm.

  • Tickets are available for purchase for the 27th Annual Ah Haa Art Auction. The Auction takes place July 19th, at the depot. Head to ahhaa.org or call (970) 728-3886 to purchase VIP seated tickets.

  • The annual Huck Finn & Becky Thatcher Fishing Derby is this Saturday, June 1st, at the Kids Fishing Pond in Town Park. Wagon rides with Roudy begin at 9:30am, fishing derby begins at 11:00am.   • The Wilkinson Public Library, Between the Covers, and the Sheep Mountain Alliance will host author Heather Hansman, who will be reading from and presenting on her book, Downriver: Into the Future of Water in the West. Monday, June 3rd, at 6pm at the WPL.

  • Space Between Shadows performs at the Sherbino Theater in Ridgway, tonight at 8pm.

  • Diggin’ Dirt performs at O’Bannon’s/Fly Me to the Moon Saloon tonight, 10:30pm.
