  • Marc Berger and the Ride Band will perform at the Sherbino Theater, tonight. Doors at 7:30, Music at 8:00.

  • The “Love Your Valley Festival” is this Saturday, May 11th, at the Ridgway Town Park. 1pm-6pm.

  • The Trailblazing Women of Documentary Film series at the WPL presents “Step,” directed by Amanda Lipitz. Monday, May 6th, film at 6pm.

  • Plant Healthy Telluride would like to let everyone know that the Food Revolution Summit continues through May 5th.  It features 25 trusted authorities on food & health. Each day offers 3 talks in the morning. These talks will be available for replay for the next 24 hrs on-line. For more information and to sign-up, head to www.foodrevolutionsummit.org.

  • SMPA is scheduling 3 electrical equipment upgrade projects during the first 2 weeks of May. This work requires multiple power outages. The second outage will be May 7th, 8:30am-5:30pm and will effect the south side of Colorado Ave and the north side of Pacific, between Fir and Pine St. The final outage is scheduled for May 8th, 8:30am-12:30pm. This will affect the north side of Colorado between S. Oak and S. Fir St. More information can be found at smpa.com.

  • The Young People’s Theater’s production of the Music Man continues their performance tonight through May 5th, 6pm nightly. Head to Sheridanoperahouse.com for more information.

  • Rosalind Wiseman, author of Queen Bees and Wannabees (basis for the film Mean Girls), will be speaking about issues most important to youth today and facilitating a discussion with Telluride Youth.  Thursday, May 9th, 6-8pm at the Michael D. Palm Theater. Doors open at 5:30pm. Dessert and a book signing to follow in the Palm lobby at 7:30pm.

  • A free legal clinic for parties who have no attorney will take place Wednesday, May 8th, 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Please call (970) 728-4519 to schedule an appointment.

  • It’s warming up and black bears are awakening. Make sure your polycart complies with the Town of Tellurides requirements. Make sure both latches work, that the lid is intact, there are no cracks in the body and the strap is secure. If your polycart needs stenciling, repair or upgrades, call 970-728-2177. A fed bear is a dead bear.
