SMPA is scheduling 3 electrical equipment upgrade projects during the first 2 weeks of May. This work requires multiple power outages. The second outage will be May 7th, 8:30am-5:30pm and will effect the south side of Colorado Ave and the north side of Pacific, between Fir and Pine St. More information can be found at smpa.com.
To prepare for paving Fir St and Pacific Ave and for other construction-related projects, SMPA would like you to take note of these upcoming road closures: Thursday, May 2nd through Friday, May 10th: Fir St will be closed from Colorado Ave. to San Juan Ave. Pacific will be closed from the alley behind The Market and Baked in Telluride to library alley. Parking on Fir in front of Baked in Telluride and The Market is slated to reopen in late May, before MountainFilm.
The Town of Telluride is issuing a Spring Flooding Alert. A sudden warm period or heavy rainfall onto the snowpack can cause flooding in town this spring.
