  • Today is the Final day of the Telluride Balloon Festival.

  • SMRHA is hosting Lottery Information Discussions. Learn about the Town of Telluride’s Lottery Process. There will be a Spanish Interpreter at Every Meeting. The next meeting is tomorrow, June 3rd, 5-6pm in the Telluride Room at the WPL.

  • Palm Arts continues its 2019 Classic Cinema Series, celebrating cult film directors. The summer series begins with Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, Friday, June 7th. Admission is FREE with all donations benefit the Palm Arts Programming fund.

  • The Wilkinson Library will moderate a candidate forum for the Mountain Village Town Council election on June 4th at the Mountain Village Town Hall, (above the Market at Mtn. Village). There will be a mixer at 5:15pm and the forum begins at 6pm.

  • The Wilkinson Public Library, Between the Covers, and the Sheep Mountain Alliance will host author Heather Hansman, who will be reading from and presenting on her book, Downriver: Into the Future of Water in the West. Monday, June 3rd, at 6pm.

  • Join the Telluride Historical Museum in celebrating the opening of their newest exhibit, If These Walls Could Talk: Preservation & Change, Thursday, June 6th, 6-8pm. This is a FREE evening at the museum. All are welcome. The Museum re-opens for the summer season Friday, June 3rd.

  • Expectant mothers are invited to meet the Telluride Med Center’s Primary Care Team to discuss prenatal and postpartum care, well-child checks and vaccines, altitude guidelines, and more.   • Original Thinkers will host a free screening of “Running with Beto,” followed by a conversation with director David Modigliani. June 6th at the Nugget Theater. Film at 8pm.

  • Telluride Adaptive Sports Program is pleased to present Operation Encore on Saturday, June 8th. Operation Encore is a collection of highly talented singer/songwriters, who have also served in the U.S. military with tours including Iraq and Afghanistan.   • The Town of Telluride is issuing a Spring Flooding Alert. A sudden warm period or heavy rainfall onto the snowpack can cause flooding in town this spring. If you experience bigger puddles than normal during spring runoff, Contact Public Works at (970) 728-8415. If you see water backing up and flooding over the banks of the San Miguel River, Cornet Creek or Butcher Creek, Contact the Marshall’s Department at (970) 728-3818 or (970) 249-9110.
