  • Telluride Theater’s Shakespeare in the Park brings you performances of the Tempest, July 20th-28th. Tickets are available at telluridetheater.org

  • Palm Arts continues its 2019 Classic Cinema Series celebrating cult film directors. The next film in the series is David Lynch’s American neo-noir black comedy-crime film, Wild at Heart. July 26th at 7pm. Admission is FREE with all donations benefit the Palm Arts Programming fund.

  • Tri-County Health Network will host 3 upcoming “Death Café” gatherings aimed at creating a space for community members to share their personal experiences with death and to explore aspects of dying—from practical insights into end of life care and legal documents, to caregiving and grieving. Led by Juanita Ramsey. Upcoming dates are Monday, July 15th, 6:00 pm at Lone Cone Library, in Norwood; Sunday, July 21st, 4:30 pm at the Wilkinson Public Library and Tuesday, August 6th, 6:00 pm at Placerville School House.   • The Bow Wow Film Festival, a benefit for the Second Chance Humane Society, will happen July 21st at the Sheridan Opera House. Films begin at 5pm. Tickets and trailers can be found at bowwowfilmfestival.com.

  • The Progressive Women’s Caucus of the San Juan’s thinks you should run for office! Women and non-binary people are invited to join the PWC on July 15th to learn details about regional elected offices, tactics for effective campaigns, and hear from current women leaders about their experiences in office.   • The Telluride Historical Museum is excited to announce its 16th annual fundraiser, Feasting on History, will take place Saturday, August 3rd. Brunch will be hosted by Pete and Shari Mitchell at their home, 112 Single Tree Ridge, Mountain Village. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. featuring the women of the Mahoney family, who will share family history and stories of the past.  Call the Museum at (970) 728-3344 to reserve your seat.

  • Session two of Rabbi Terry Bookman’s series of talks will take place Tuesday, July 16th. The topic will be From Temple to Synagogue. All sessions will be held at 15 Stonegate Drive, Mountain Village from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm.  The course is FREE.  Please bring a bottle of wine and/or a favorite cheese to share.
