  • The Palm Telluride Summer Jazz Series continues tomorrow with New Standards fronted by the multi talented composer and bandleader Peter John Stoltzman. His latest project New Standards features the Natalie Cressman, of the Trey Anastasio Band.

  • There will be a Community Back to School Night, Thursday, August 15, 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM on the Lower Terrace of the WPL.

  • Friday, August 16th, the Telluride Yoga Center, invites you to a free public talk on Kriya yoga. The speaker will be a monk from the Swami order who will discuss the ancient teachings of Kriya yoga meditation, as discussed in the book, The Autobiography of a Yogi.   • Mountain Village will sponsor a Community Clean Up Day, August 24th, in the Sunset Plaza area. Registration will be 9:30-10:30am, clean-up will be 10am to noon with an after party, noon to 2pm. There will be a raffle and prizes for the best trash find. Trash bags will be provided.

  • The San Miguel Sheriffs Office will host a National Weather Service (NWS) weather spotter training Saturday August 17 from 12pm-2pm. The training will be at the Telluride Fire station, in the meeting room upstairs.

  • Free legal help at the library will take place tomorrow, 2-5pm! Sign up is required. Call 970-728-4519 to sign up for a 15 minute appointment.

  • True North’s College & Career Conference will take place Saturday August 17th 10-am-5pm. This conference is for all high school students, parents, educators and young adults seeking support and information on college and post-high school opportunities.   • Winter 2019/2020 Vending Applications for the Town of Telluride are due August 15th. Application forms are available at www.telluride-co.gov, at Town Hall (135 W. Columbia Ave.) or by calling 970-728-2157.

  • The Town of Telluride is asking the public to be aware of Monsoonal Flooding of Cornet Creek. Keep an eye on the creek and how it is flowing. Prolonged wet weather and localized heavy rainfall can trigger debris flow and flooding. If there is a flooding event, shelter in place on a second floor if possible.
