  • The Town of Telluride’s Commission for Community Assistance, Arts and Special Events (CCAASE), is accepting applications for 2020 funding. Grant guidelines and applications are available at https://telluride.gosmart.org/. All grant applications are due by midnight, September 23rd. There will be a Mandatory Grant Forum for all new applicants which have not applied in the past two years on Wednesday, September 4, at noon in Rebekah Hall. This meeting is also highly recommended for new grant writers and/or staff, as the application process has changed since the last grant cycle.

  • The San Miguel Housing Authority’s housing lottery for Longwill16 and Silver Jack is now open. It closes Thursday, August 29th at noon.   • The Telluride Historical Museum will be screening Ken Burns' documentary, The Roosevelts: An Intimate History, Episode 5, The Rising Road on Sunday, August 25 at the Michael D. Palm Theatre. Ken Burns will be in attendance to introduce the film, entertain a Q&A, and participate in a book and DVD signing after.   • The Center for Mental Health Telluride invites the public to a community open house to tour the new behavioral health location in Telluride and meet their local staff.   • On July 20th, Joanne and Roudy Roudebush's Barn exploded in flames.  It contained a lifetime of cowboy paraphernalia and every piece of tack (saddles and bridles), collected over the course of his 40 years of cowboyisms.   • The KOTO board of directors will hold their regular monthly meeting next Monday, August 26th, at 5pm, in the Telluride Room at the Wilkinson Library. KOTO members, DJs, and the public are welcome to attend.

  • The library will host a workshop on Practical Preparations for Death and Dying, focusing on making the process smother. Thursday, August 22nd 5:30-7pm.
