The KOTOcaster is a semi hollow body, single pickup electric guitar, made from 30-year-old historic pine.   • The Telluride Dance Collective is holding open auditions for the 3rd Annual Fall Showcase, Mass Movement. The final audition is tonight, 7:30-9pm at Studio 145 at the Palm Theatre (located at the far east end of the Palm Lobby). There will not be callbacks. Dancers must attend the full 90min.   • One to One Youth Mentoring’s 10th Annual Top Chef and Taste of Telluride Competition takes place Thursday, August 8th, 5:30-9pm at the Peaks Resort.   • County Road K69- Bridal Veil- will be closed to all traffic (foot, bicycles and motor vehicles) August 5th – August 8th, 5:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Road crews will be rebuilding roadway and building retaining walls. There will be large rocks being moved high above the valley that have the potential of rolling down into the valley. Please respect this closure for your own safety.   • Tri-County Health Network will host “Death Café” gatherings aimed at creating a space for community members to share their personal experiences with death and to explore aspects of dying.   • Dr. Jason Sibold, a research professor with Colorado State University, has been monitoring the forest ecology and climate conditions of the Upper San Miguel Watershed since 2015. He will be presenting his findings in the greater context of a changing climate on August 6th at 6pm in the Program Room at Wilkinson Public Library.

  • The Market Plaza parking lot is closed today for re-paving. This paving is expected to take two days. The Gondola Parking Garage will be used during the closure for all parking and all businesses will remain open.
