Prolonged wet weather and localized heavy rainfall can trigger debris flow and flooding. If there is a flooding event, shelter in place on a second floor if possible. Dr. Jason Sibold, a research professor with Colorado State University, has been monitoring the forest ecology and climate conditions of the Upper San Miguel Watershed since 2015.
