  • KOTO’s live broadcast of the 26th Annual Telluride Blues and Brews Festival continues today and tomorrow. Regular programming will resume Monday, September 16th. Thank you!  

  • The Town of Telluride’s Commission for Community Assistance, Arts and Special Events (CCAASE), is accepting applications for 2020 funding. Grant guidelines and applications are available at https://telluride.gosmart.org/. All grant applications are due by midnight, September 23rd.

  • The Foreign Exchange Open House at the Wilkinson Library is Thursday, September 19 at 6 p.m.  Local students who have spent a year abroad with Rotary and AFS as well as an inbound student from Brazil will be present to share their experiences, answer questions, and get you excited about spending a year abroad.  Parents and students in Middle and High School should plan to attend to get information and learn about the application process.  Deadlines are near.

  • Please join Sheep Mountain Alliance and local band Birds of Play for a fall Valley Floor CleanSUP on Monday, September 16th, from 12-4 pm.  Please sign up on the Sheep Mountain Alliance Facebook page.  At this FREE event, we will float down the river where we can, and walk the waterway as needed in order to gather trash and invasive weeds.  Please wear good footwear, and bring water, layers, rain and sunwear, and work gloves.

  • The Wilkinson Library will host Author Josh Aho as he presents "Climbing Colorado's 14ers With Sawyer." Sunday, September 28th. There will be a book signing at 3pm and a presentation 3:30-4:30pm on hiking and climbing, equipment demonstration and nurturing the climbing spirit with your dog.

  • Registration is open for the Mountains to Desert bike ride- an annual fundraiser for  the Just for Kids Foundation. The race takes place on September 21st, Telluride to Gateway (100 mile) bike ride with option to start in Norwood (72 miles).   • Talking Gourds Poetry Club will meet Tuesday, September 17th at 6:00 pm @ Telluride Arts HQ. The first autumn Poetry Club features Mary Oishi. Oishi is a Japanese American poet and public radio professional who was raised by the KKK. Her poems have appeared in numerous anthologies, poetry journals, newspapers, and digital publications. Everyone is welcome!
