  • True North Youth Program is providing an Academic Support program that will run weekly at TMHS library from 3-5pm every Wednesday after school. 'Base Camp' will offer students support with resumes, essays, tutoring needs and more.

  • Tri-County Health Network is proud to bring back the Skippy cavity prevention program into our schools this year. Skippy is a mobile, evidenced based oral health program offered at no out of pocket cost each school year. Students receive a dental exam, cleaning, x-rays, fluoride treatment, protective sealants, and interim therapeutic restorations. Upcoming Skippy clinic dates are as follow: Norwood K-12 on Thursday, September 19th, Naturita Elementary School on Monday, September 23rd, Tuesday, September 24th and Wednesday, September 25th, Nucla Middle and High School Wednesday, October 2nd and Thursday, October 3rd.

  • There will be a silent auction/fundraiser for local Mark Niebruegge (knee-brug-ee) at the Elks, this Friday, September 20th, 4-8pm. The Elks are still accepting donations to the auction, with all proceeds going to Mark’s recovery. The Auction ends at 7pm with music from Sean Deland.   • The public is invited to meet the finalists for Chief Marshall of the Town of Telluride. Thursday, September 19th at the Sheridan SHOW Bar, 5:30-6:30pm.

  • The Wilkinson’s Friends of the Library Book Sale takes place this weekend. On Thursday, Sept. 19th, there will be a pre-sale for volunteers.   • San Miguel County Emergency Management will conduct a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) test on Thursday, September 26th. The test will take place around mid-day, and is intended to

  • encompass the whole of San Miguel County. WEAs are emergency messages sent by authorized government alerting authorities through your mobile carrier. They are used to alert the public to Extreme weather and other threatening emergencies in your area, including AMBER Alerts and national emergencies. WEA will look like a text message.  

  • St. Mary’s will be having a blood drive in front of the Telluride Courthouse this Thursday, 11am-2pm.

  • The Foreign Exchange Open House at the Wilkinson Library is Thursday, September 19 at 6 p.m.  Parents and students in Middle and High School should plan to attend to get information and learn about the application process.

  • Come test your strength and celebrate the arrival of fall at the OPUS Hut Haul Challenge on Saturday, September 21st from 10 am to sunset. Festivities begin at OPUS Hut trailhead on Ophir Pass.
