  • RISE UP for RASTA STEVIE is a Health attainment Fund Benefit Fundraiser, which will take place this Friday, September 27th, from 6-Midnight at The Sheridan Opera House.  Rasta Stevie has been on a yearlong battle with cancer and has amassed a large amount of debt for treatment. This benefit is an effort to help alleviate that debt. There will be great items for the Silent Auction, which begins at 6PM. Bidding is from 6-10PM. At 7pm, Dandylion will perform followed by a very special reunion of Telluride's own 8750! DJ  BLOODPRESHAH will be joined by Koral Delatierra, of NICENESS and many more musical acts.   • Norwood is celebrating Pioneer Days this Saturday, with a parade at 11am followed by a chuck wagon chili cook off and games! More information available at norwoodcolorado.com/events

  • The 10th Annual BRAvo Auction, benefitting the San Miguel Resource Center and Bosom Buddies, is Thursday October 10th 7:30 pm at the Sheridan Bar. Stop by the Ah Haa School to pick up a bra to decorate. Deadline for bra submission is October 2nd.

  • The Telluride Education Foundation’s Fall Festival & 5K is coming up on Saturday, September 28th at the TMHS field/TIS gym, 9am-1pm.

  • The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” at the Opera House. Thursday, September 26th, 6pm. This is a free showing!

  • One-to-One Mentoring will host a New Orleans themed dinner as a thank you to the community. Tomorrow, 5-7pm in Town Park.

  • The Mountain Village Police Department will host Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd from 9 to 11 a.m. at Starbucks in Mountain Village Center. Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide initiative designed to offer an informal, neutral space for community and law enforcement to come together to discuss issues, build relationships and share a cup of coffee. All community members are invited to attend to meet Mountain Village Police Department officers and enjoy complimentary coffee.

Summiters should meet at 8:30am at the Fresh Food Hub in Norwood, and those who only want to go to the slopes should be there at 10 am.
