  • The Sheridan Arts Foundation presents “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” at the Opera House. Tonight, 6pm. This is a free showing!

  • The second Original Thinkers festival is this October 3-6. We are looking for volunteers to donate 8 hours of their time in exchange for a weekend pass. Jobs include: Hospitality, Theatre Staff/Operations, Special Events, Food Service, Bartending, Office Support, Rigging/Set-up.   • Saturday, September 28th, please join Sheep Mountain Alliance for a hike up Lone Cone to celebrate National Public Lands Day. Summiters should meet at 8:30am at the Fresh Food Hub in Norwood, and those who only want to go to the slopes should be there at 10 am. Please bring your own layers and lunch, and sign up in advance on our Sheep Mountain Alliance facebook page.

  • Join Juanita Ramsey for a free one day symposium on Cultivating Quality of Life by attending to issues surrounding death and dying. Saturday, September 28th, 10am-4pm at Christ Presbyterian Church.

  • One-to-One Mentoring will host a New Orleans themed dinner as a thank you to the community. Today, 5-7pm in Town Park.

  • The Telluride Education Foundation’s Fall Festival & 5K is coming up on Saturday, September 28th at the TMHS field/TIS gym, 9am-1pm.

  • San Miguel County Emergency Management will conduct a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) test today. The test will take place around mid-day, and is intended to encompass the whole of San Miguel County. WEAs are emergency messages sent by authorized government alerting authorities through your mobile carrier. They are used to alert the public to Extreme weather and other threatening emergencies in your area, including AMBER Alerts and national emergencies. WEA will look like a text message.

  • September is Suicide Prevention Month. On Sunday, September 29th, join the community for the Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk. Meet in Telluride Town Park at 9:00am.
