  • The Telluride Choral Society invites you to join them for Wintersing 2019, “Light of the Season!” Student choirs will begin to meet Monday September 30th and Tuesday, October 1st.  The adult Chorale, for all singers, starts Wednesday, Oct. 2nd.   • The second Original Thinkers festival is this October 3-6. They are looking for volunteers to donate 8 hours of their time in exchange for a weekend pass. Jobs include: Hospitality, Theatre Staff/Operations, Special Events, Food Service, Bartending, Office Support, Rigging/Set-up.   • Colorado Sierra Club and Sheep Mountain Alliance are hosting a free screening of the film, Reinventing Power, a renewable energy documentary, Monday, October 7th at Jagged Edge. Film starts at 6:30pm.

  • Mountainfilm on Tour is coming to the Livery in Norwood on October 19th. The show will explore the themes connected to Mountainfilm’s mission: using the power of film, art and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world. There will be a silent auction with all proceeds will go to the NPRD Climbing Team. Doors at 6 p.m. / Films at 7 p.m.

  • The Mountain Village Police Department will host Coffee with a Cop on Wednesday, Oct. 2nd from 9 to 11 a.m. at Starbucks in Mountain Village Center. Coffee with a Cop is a nationwide initiative designed to offer an informal, neutral space for community and law enforcement to come together to discuss issues, build relationships and share a cup of coffee. All community members are invited to attend to meet Mountain Village Police Department officers and enjoy complimentary coffee.

  • There will be a remembrance of the life of Ernie Brier, today at 3pm at the Elks.

  • The GoHaweye Foundation will host Enock Glidden as he shares his incredible journey, living and adventuring with Spina Bifida. Inspired by the loss of his friend, Nick Hall, on Mt Rainier, Enock has made it his mission to live a life of adventure and find ways to achieve his goals. Join Enock at the Telluride Distilling Company, Thursday, October 3rd, as he shares his story and inspiring film "Enock.” There will be a Meet and Greet at 6:30 PM. Presentation at 7 PM, followed by music form Looty Booty! Donations will be accepted at the event. All proceeds will be split between the GoHawkeye Foundation and Enock Glidden. Enock is raising money for his next adventure - Climbing Mt. Ranier.

  • KOTO’s Board of Directors will meet Monday, September 30th, at 5pm, in the Telluride Room at the library. All are welcome.

  • The Wilkinson Library will host Author Josh Aho as he presents "Climbing Colorado's 14ers With Sawyer," today. There will be a book signing at 3pm and a presentation 3:30-4:30pm on hiking and climbing, equipment demonstration and nurturing the climbing spirit with your dog.

  • There will be an Erev Rosh Hashanah Service tonight at the Sheridan Opera House, 6pm. Meet at the Bear Creek Bridge tomorrow morning, 10:30am, for Rosh Hashanah Tashlich service.
